15.5 - Building Set

Basically, the model presented so far consists of 6 equations.

The special basic model for habitable " Earths 2" in solar-like star systems is:

6.3.3 Equation
Nze = A·Fsph·Fgae·FLiz

The general basic model for habitable "Earths 2" in the galaxy is:

8.4.2 Equation
NzexGal = A · ∑ (FX · Fph · Fgae · FLiz)

The general approach for habitable planets in the galaxy is:

12.2.2 Equation
NzivGal = A · ∑ (FX · Fph · Fk · FLiz)

As well as the three equations, which contain all necessary probabilities concerning planetary adhesion, habitable zone, earth similarity, life, intelligence and civilization:

Fsph = Fs·Fp·Fh Habitable Zone
Fgae = Fg·Fa·Fe Earth Similarity
FLiz = FL·Fi·Fz Civilization

All in all, the model presented here can be seen as a modular system. The model provides the basic building blocks and these can be adapted according to the problem.
Extensions can be used to identify old and humanoid civilizations. Adaptation can treat intelligent species or planets with life or planets about the size of the earth in the galaxy. Also by adaptation the rate of civilization was determined, as well as by the cycle of civilization old civilizations could be defined.
Furthermore, the Drake equation and the Drake-Seager equation - after modification - are compatible to the presented basic model.
Thus, this building set provides a flexible repertoire of equations that are equivalent to each other in order to deal with the topic of civilizations in the galaxy in an exhaustive way.
