4.3 - Differentiation for the Probability of Life

There is still a refinement in the probability of life:

Life is dependent on n planetary conditions.
That they form the set N of life prerequisites.
Then each element contributes to the overall probability. This part is:

4.3.1 Equation

It is: 0 < j < n+1

then applies to the total probability of life:

4.3.2 Equation

A differentiation of the individual components is obtained by weighting the individual elements.

4.3.3 Equation

Then the probability of life is:

4.3.4 Equation

Overall, the probability of life is:

4.3.5 Equation

Equation 4.3.5 is the most general approach that can be made for any set N of life prerequisites that can still be weighted in their action by the aj.

In a first approach, it is assumed thatall parts have the same effect, so that the weighting factors are all one, equation 4.3.2 applies.

4.3.6 Approach The weighting factors are set equal to one
a1 = a2 = ... = aj = ... = an = 1

It then applies:
It follows:

Here are 8 components called life allow.
It applies to the single probability: fj = 1:72

Therefore, 8 failures can occur.
Thus, the chance of life arises 1 to 9. That corresponds to a share of 11,11 %.
The probability factor for life is thus FL = 0,111... = 1:9.

This approach is used in all following considerations as the basis of the calculations.
